Sun Li, or Sunny as she tends to be called, attempted to escape from China along with her fiancé Longwei. Unfortunately Longwei was being closely watched because of his value as a scientist working on longevity research. They were apprehended as they tried to steal a small boat. Longwei was taken away but the border guards didn't care about Sun Li and left her in the boat.

With little idea how to sail or control the craft, it drifted on the currents for three days. Sun Li used up the provions they had brought and could easily have died but the boat was spotted by some fishermen from Ing who rescued her.

The motherly Mrs Mac took Sun Li in and let her help with the café. When the Billionaire arrived he asked Mrs Mac to help in the kitchen. She turned up with Sun Li who quickly became a feature in the house and who takes on more significance in the future.
